This is the last of the 2017 blog posts!!! I'm officially ALMOST caught up!! These two love birds came to me for their holiday photos and I'm so glad they did! Their outfits were on point, the weather wasn't too horrible and they got such beautiful photos!! I recommend Minnewaska to a lot of my couples! It's a super easy 1 mile walk to the falls and then you drive up to the top of the mountain for the lake photos! You get all the adventure photos without having to risk ruining your hair and makeup with strenuous activity. I hope you enjoy flipping through this session!
This loving family has been coming to me for YEARS! Pretty much since I first started my business! I have had the pleasure of watching them grow as a family and have gotten to know them over time. First off...their style is always ON POINT! They dress better than any family I know. I love when I get to see them every Christmas! Think it's too early to start planning your Holiday photos? You're wrong!! I'm already steadily booked until November so it's never too early too reach out! <3
Meagan and Brad had their wedding in November at The Garrsion. They were super lucky and had a nice sunny day but were also not so lucky an had a FREEZING day. When I tell you my hands were completely frozen...I'm not kidding. It was hella cold but these two were freaking champs.
We started with detail shots throughout The Garrison. We hung her dress in the bridal suite along with her shoes. Some of their details were very fall-esque such as the skeletons(which I adored byyyy the way).
I started the day by taking getting ready shots of Brad. Hasn't he mastered the GQ look? Both Meagan and Brad were one the most relaxed and calm couples I've ever had.
Following Brad's getting ready shots, I took Meagan's getting ready shots. We started with cute bridesmaids shots on the bed and then Meagan got ready for her first look with Brad!
Meagan and Brad had their first look facing the Hudson River and it was perfect.
Meagan and Brad took their bridal portraits down by the pond at The Garrison and the surrounding areas. Because Meagan and Brad did both the engagement and bridal session we were able to get their photos done super quick!
Following the first look we took some bridal party shots and family shots.
Then it was time for the ceremony! Meagan and Brad had a one of a kind ceremony and a beautiful confetti exit.
Afterwards it was time to PAAARRRTTYYYY!
Matt and Melissa got married on an ominous September day. They were super lucky and the storm held out for them and didn't rain once throughout their day. The two had their reception at The Coveleigh Club and their ceremony at a nearby church.
I started the day with taking pictures of Matt getting ready. Matt got ready with his guys in a room with a pool table and a nice flat screen to watch the game on...what more could some guys need?
Afterwards I headed over to Melissa getting ready with her gals. Melissa had probably the most relaxed getting ready photos I have ever done and then she shared a glass of champagne with her girls before heading out for her first look.
Matt and Melissa had their first look on the windy pier. As if you could get more romantic than that...
We took their bridal pictures on the pier and in front of the beautiful building of The Coveleigh Club. Matt's Father has a vintage station wagon that is actually used in movies frequently so we were able to use that for a few photos!
Following bridal portraits we took some bridal party photos out on the pier.
Matt and Melissa had their ceremony at a nearby church in Rye, New York. I absolutely love their photos walking out from the ceremony. You can see the pure joy on their faces which makes my job as a photographer so simple.
Following the ceremony it was time to PARTAY! I must add....at the cocktail hour I had some bomb ass buffalo taquitos and they were fantastic. If you want to know the way to my heart...now you know.
Venue: The Coveleigh Club
Shoes: Monolo Blahnik
Chuck and Christina got married on a beautiful October day at Mohonk Mountain House.
We started with getting ready shots of both Chuck and Christina.
Afterwards we moved to a first look with Christina and her Father and I'm not going to lie...I balled like a baby. As someone who is BFFs with her dad, I frequently cry at father-daughter moments that are as sweet as this.
Following that Christina and Chuck had their first look and then we moved on to explore the grounds of Mohonk. We walked the docks, got in a boat and frolicked around the gardens.
The bridal party shots were taken at the exit to the maze in the gardens of Mohonk Mountain House.
The two had a beautiful outdoor ceremony led by Christina's father which made the ceremony that much more intimate. Their ceremony had a view of the mountains that just could not be beat.
Then it was time to PAAAARRRRTTTYYYY!!
Venue: Mohonk Mountain House
Photographing Maura and Ryan was so much fun! We walked around the city and laughed and joked. We got coffee after..if you know me, that's true love right there. We got to get cute pictures with seasonal Starbucks cups. We got to stalk tourists as they took walking tours through the city guessing which apartment was Monica and Rachel's. We dodged cars as we took cute walking pictures across the street. By the end of their engagement session we were total besties. It was love at first latte! Stay tuned for these love birds' wedding in September 2019!
Lauren and Jake had their engagement shoot at Skylands Manor in New Jersey. They brought their pup along for the ride and I'm so happy they did! I hope you enjoy flipping through!
Alex and Jess got married on a beautiful October day at The Thayer Hotel in West Point, NY. Jess and many of her family members attended the West Point Military Academy so it was a very special place to the two of them. Their wedding story will also be featured on H&H Weddings soon!
Both Jess and Alex got ready in separate rooms with their ladies. Both rooms were full of laughter and love and everyone's emotions were turned up high. From Jess and her girls doing a pyramid, to Alex and her girls doing a champagne toast, both Alex and Jess had the most beautiful moments with their girls.
Jess and Alex saw each other for the first time at the ceremony. During the ceremony everyone was fighting real hard to hold back the tears. Both Alex and Jess were full of smiles and laughter as well. During the ceremony, right after they were pronounced married, Alex got her lipstick all over Jess' face and everyone in the crowd was laughing.
Following the ceremony, we took some portraits with the Saber girls and the bridal party right by the ceremony area.
Afterwards, just the three of us headed all around campus to take pictures in all the same places we took their engagement pictures. We headed to Trophy Point and dodged three other weddings also taking their portraits and then headed over to the reservoir and took some pictures where it was much more quiet.
Following that, it was time to P-A-R-T-Y!!!
Meagan and Brad had their bridal session on a beautiful fall day. We started out shooting at Storm King State Park so we would have the foliage of the Hudson Valley and then headed over to the Moodna Viaduct to get the sunset and some more foliage. A lot of people ask me; " What exactly is a bridal session?" Well, this is it! We get together prior to the wedding (or after) and take pictures in your wedding attire. It's a much more relaxed session than your wedding day and we get to go around to wherever you would like! Don't want anyone to see your dress? You can either buy a different white maxi or I can save the photos and not post them until after the wedding! The florals were done by Christina Smith of Tame Florals and they are a beautiful fall arrangement!
It's fitting that I'm blogging these two love bird's engagement session today because today is their wedding day! The three of us walked the High Line and stopped along the way to grab some beautiful shots. The entire time dodging about a billion tourists. Something that's always hilarious about photographing in New York City is that there is always a million people getting in your shot. They'll either stop and stare at what you're doing while simultaneously getting directly in the shot or they'll purposely walk super slow through the shot. Also EVERYONE stops to say congratulations..it's actually super sweet. Following the High Line, we walked down to the water to get some super awesome sunset shots and some more pictures with the skyline. Today these two beautiful souls get married at Crabtree's Kittle House on CINCO DE MAYO!!!! Let the party begin!
Lilly & Mike had their engagement shoot where their wedding will be held. During their engagement shoot we got to hang out with Lilly's awesome horse. I got to pet a dog and a lot of horses. I meaaannnnnn...can you get any better than that??
Meagan and Brad chose to have their engagement session at Stonecrop Gardens. Stonecrop is one of my favorite locations! You have everything from greenhouses to cool architecture to beautiful gardens. During their engagement session, we were completely surrounded with beautiful butterflies! It truly was a beautiful day!
Erika and Pasquale got married on a super hot, out of the ordinary, day in September at Red Maple Vineyard. These two lovebirds were all smiles and had the most infectious smiles that effected everyone around them.
Afterwards, Erika and Pasquale had a sweet first look in between the grape vines that was one for the books.
For their bridal portraits we went and saw ALL the animals that Red Maple has to offer. It was kiiiiind of super amazing.
Their ceremony was at the top of the hill with the view of the valley.
Following the ceremony it was time to party!
After the cake cutting, there was a beautiful firework show for the couple and all of their guests.
Venue : Red Maple Vineyard
This one is super exciting for me because I am counting down the days until it's fall again!! Sam and Ash took their engagement pictures at Masker Orchards where Ash works! We had the entire Orchard to ourselves, it was so magical. Take a look!
Brittany and Garrett got married at CV Rich Mansion. As you may remember, Kelly and Joey also got married there. Brittany and Kelly are lifelong BFFS! These two have been besties practically since birth. So it was no surprise that they got married at the same location, just a few months apart from each other. Brittany and Kelly not only managed one DIY wedding, they managed two! I hope you'll enjoy flipping through as much as I enjoyed photographing!
First, I took Brittany's details all around the grounds of CV Rich. Fun fact: All of Brittany's details, besides her dress and shoes, were her late Grandmother's.
