Sarah & Steve have the most wild story. Imagine buying a ticket to NYC from Australia after having too much to drink. Not even knowing you purchased the ticket until the next day and then meeting the love of your life on said trip. Talk about DESTINY. It’s like straight out of a rom-com. If you know anything about me or any woman age 23-29…we eat shit like this UP. Sarah and Steve wanted a more industrial feel for their engagement session so we started off in Greenpoint, just outside of the green point loft and then we headed over to the waterfront park next door and jumped in an uber to Domino Square Park. If you haven’t been there before…it’s pretty much the definition of industrial chic. There’s an adorable little taco place, cute stairs to sit on, and a cute little water view. I loved photographing these two. They were so full of energy and truly a great time was had. I can’t wait for their wedding this July!!
Kim and Edwin are the two most adorable people. They have been together since they were practically children and fit each other so well. It was so much fun watching them go through all the stages of the wedding day. Being anxious to see each other, beautifully emotional during the first look, super excited during the ceremony and full of laughs, and then being freaking pumped to be married and living it up during the reception. Kim and Edwin are also perfect examples of what you do if it’s going to rain on your wedding day. If it’s going to rain you first buy umbrellas and then you DO NOT CHECK THE WEATHER. DON’T TALK ABOUT IT. Don’t think about it. Nothing. And you just need to think of it as “Okay, no big deal. It may rain. We have umbrellas. We CAN take photos with umbrellas.” What did it do for them? It stopped for the perfect amount of time for them to take photos. It then started up again so we ran inside for a bit and as soon as it stopped we ran out and banged all the photos out as fast as we could. Look at how beautiful their photos are!

Kelly and Dom are not only super babes, but friends of mine! I first met Kelly in KINDERGARTEN! She’s one of my first friends I made on my own and I’m so glad we still keep in touch! When she said she wanted to do her session in their new house they bought with their adorable pups I OBVIOUSLY was all in! Not only did Kelly and I go to the same elementary school but we both ended up moving to Washingtonville around the same time as each other as well and graduated high school together. It’s not too often that I get to photograph someone that I actually knew and grew up with! Happy scrolling!
Vanessa and Brian had responded to my model call I had posted for Oahu. We did a sunrise session on the beautiful Kailua Beach and I got to shoot alongside my good friend, Sara. Vanessa and Brian brought along their beautiful baby girl and she even popped into a few of the photos. These love birds had a partial rainbow come out to greet them during their session as well! I love getting to meet new couples all around the world and I’m so happy I got to meet these two and that they braved the cold water at 7am for me! I hope you enjoy scrolling as much as I enjoyed shooting! Happy Scrolling!
These two love birds had their engagement session at the Emmerich Tree Farm in Warwick, NY. Their entire session was filled with laughter, jokes, dancing, and joy. As cheesy as that sounds - it’s true. Jeff assisted this shoot and the four of us were laughing the whole time. Afterwards we all grabbed a bite to eat and had quite easily one of the best pasta dishes offffff my life. These two are super compassionate and down to earth and I loved photographing them! If you like those beanies…go ahead and get yourself one here. Jenn runs her own Etsy shop and her accessories are adorable! I wear my scarf every day! I love being able to connect with my couples and Jenn and Dean made it so easy! I can’t wait for their wedding in July! Happy Scrolling!
Taylor and I found each other on Instagram! When I announced that I was going to Oahu she reached out to book a session and I’m so glad she did! When we got together I found out she is also from New York - such a small world! We started our day at the Botanical Gardens and then headed to Kailua Beach Park for sunset! Happy scrolling!
Monica and Sean got married in their favorite state, Colorado. There was a massive storm coming but it held out for the two of them the whole day. When they were saying their vows you could see the rain across the lake! MORE IMPORTANTLY(jk kind of) I SAW MEEEEEESE! When Monica was getting ready one of the bridesmaids casually goes “Is that a moose outside?” I ran outside as quickly as possible bare foot because obviously I had to get a picture of them and HOLY CRAP are they HUUUUGE! They more just looked at me like they were so mad I interrupted their snack on the trees but all I wanted to do was hug them.
Monica and Sean had a beautiful intimate wedding with their closest friends and family and the beautiful views of Breckenridge. If you have never been…I highly recommend it. The views look like a painting. Afterwards they had a nice intimate dinner at Mi Casa…which I also recommend. The night ended with a hotel hang out, live music, dancing, and laughter with their closest friends and family.
The great part about my job is at each wedding I’m not just getting to know the couple, but I also get to know the bridal party and family! So when I photographed Emily & Fritz’s wedding and found out that Meghan lives in Oahu we OBVIOUSLY had to get together for a photoshoot! We started out in the awesome rainforest as we hiked to Manoa Falls which although was really tall it kind of looked like a drip more than a waterfall. 😂If you know me at all I’m only saying that because I’m bitter about how many stairs it took to get there. However we got to frolic around in the bamboo which was the coolest thing ever. And then Meghan swung on a vine to unleash her inner George of the Jungle which was also both entertaining and awesome. The amount of mosquito bites I got was most definitely not fun but so worth it for these photos of these two hotties. 🔥We finished off the shoot at the beach for sunset where I let James get revenge for having to get his photo taken by soaking Meghan and flinging her around the beach. 😂
Lilly and Mike got married at a very special location to Lilly. Lilly grew up riding horses and they decided to get married at the barn where she rides. The beautiful horse in all the photos is Lilly’s horse Kramer! We made sure that sweet love bug was in as many photos as possible. Not only was he in the photos but Lilly brought him ice cream during the reception from her ice cream truck. What more could a horse want in life? Happy Scrolling!
I got to photograph Claire & Kyle right before attending The Heart Workshop this December. Claire is an adorable and talented photographer based in Canada and when we connected about going to the workshop we knew we had to do a shoot together. These two are steamy as all get up. During their stay in Oahu before the workshop they rented this adorable hippie van and lived the van life for a few days! We started our session on the beach at Waimea Bay and then went across the street to Waimea Valley and took some photos there. Claire fed the chickens even though we told her not to but at least she got some pictures with chickens! We played around in the freaking RAINFOREST (ndb.) and got to create this MAGIC. Happy scrolling! Good luck keeping your jaw off the floor. 😉
Nora & Ken had their engagement session at Bushkill Falls in Pennsylvania. Jeff and I quickly realized how out of shape we were when our thighs were burning about halfway through the hike. Don’t worry though…we rewarded ourselves with Wendy’s after the hike. 😂 These two love birds will be getting married at the Loeb Boathouse in September and I am freaking pumped to photograph it. We had so much fun getting a workout in and dancing around. Only a few more months until these two are dancing around in slightly more formal clothes!
Katelyn & Randall got married at Senate Garage in Kingston, NY. They had a beautiful fall wedding at the end of September with the perfect weather and of course…the coolest people. These two babes had their first look outside in the gardens and then we jumped into formal portraits so they had plenty of time to party after the ceremony! I hope you enjoy flipping through their beautiful photos as much as I enjoyed taking them! As usual, the vendors are at the bottom!

Things to Consider When Planning Your Wedding:
When to Book Vendors:
Most vendors book up about a year to eighteen months in advance. Do NOT wait to book your dream vendors! With that being said..never be afraid to reach out if your wedding date is less than that because there’s always a chance we may not be booked and we’d love to work with you. You’re great! If you’re interested in someone - reach out! A lot of vendors will have cheaper rates as well if you reach out over a year in advance because their packaging will likely switch over at the start of each year!
Don’t Be Afraid to Ask Questions:
You are spending a LOT of money on your wedding. Don’t be afraid to ask your vendors a million questions. We get you’re spending a lot of money and making a big decision. We’re happy to help you out!
Once you have booked a vendor don’t be afraid to ask them if they have other professionals they work with often that they can recommend. On the opposite side of that…don’t feel like you HAVE to book who they refer. I have clients that come to me fairly frequently that booked a photographer their venue recommended because they were told they were the best and they cancel their contract with them and come to me.
Once You Have Booked Your Vendors:
On the wedding day don’t forget to have your details ready! This way you don’t have to stop getting your hair and makeup done and there’s no stress for you. Details you may want to consider having ready are your dress, shoes, jewelry, perfume, something old, something borrowed, invites, and any other details you want photographed.
Don’t forget a shot list for your family photos!! It will stress you out so much during family photos if you’re stuck trying to think of all the groups of people you want photos with the day of. Send it over to me a few days before and I’ll screenshot it and save it to my phone.
Make sure you send all of your vendors the timeline of the day a few weeks in advance! Each vendor has a preference of when to arrive and almost everyone will help you make a timeline for their portion of the wedding they’re handling.
If you want sunset photos - make sure you plan that into your timeline! Very often your dj will schedule your first dance and what not right around sunset because they don’t know you planned on going outside for sunset and then I have to cut in and it may throw your timeline off a little.
Day of Coordinators:
If you’re worried about sticking to your timeline or having to oversee parts of your wedding day, you should consider hiring a coordinator. They will help you coordinate with all the vendors to make the schedule for the day and help make sure everyone is on the same page.
First Look vs. Traditional:
I personally have no preference on whether my clients have a first look or not but let me tell you about the benefits of a first look. The biggest reason to do a first look is COCKTAIL HOUR. Arguably the best food of the night and what you pay all the money for. Granted your venue will most likely set some aside for you, but that’s not the same. A first look is more intimate. You’re not worried about all the people staring at you - it’s just the two of you. It’s your only alone time. The entire day people will be bombarding you with questions, pictures, you name it. During the first look it’s just you two and your third wheeling photographer(me). Last benefit is you don’t have to deal with going through the cocktail hour trying to find your family and friends because everyone came early.
Consider having an unplugged ceremony. If you don’t your photographers can miss shots and your ceremony will be a sea of cell phones. Photographers have missed so many important moments because someone stepped in the aisle with their cell phone or dslr.
Consider having a vendor table at your reception! Most venues place us in another room or even outside to eat. Not only is it a little cold, but we can’t hear what’s going on in the reception. If I’m in another room it’s possible I’ll miss shots during the wedding! If we have a vendor table we also have a place to put our stuff down instead of plopping it somewhere in everyone’s way.
Pamela and Nick got married at the Brotherhood Winery in July. These two love birds had their first look at The Moodna Viaduct with their beautiful pup, Gretchen. Gretchen was hopping all around them in the grass and it was absolutely hilarious. Following their intimate first look we headed to the Brotherhood Winery for formal portraits. Following the portraits, Pamela and Nick had their ceremony outdoors and had the most beautiful weather. After the ceremony it was time to party!! I hope you enjoyed flipping through! As usual vendors are located at the bottom of the post!

What Are Bridal Sessions and Why Should You Do One? - Demi & Vince - Bridal Session at Minnewaska State Park
I so frequently get the question..."what exactly is a bridal session?" So let me first describe the process of bridal portraits on the wedding day.
Bridal portraits on the wedding day:
On the wedding day you have two options - first look or no first look? Either way you only have a small window of time to take your photos. On the wedding day you're dealing with bridesmaid malfunctions or groomsmen being late. Or maybe you just don't feel 100% from the lack of sleep. When we take your bridal portraits, there is a time constraint. You have to be somewhere at a certain time and your guests are relying on you to party. This is why bridal sessions are so important!! I'll elaborate below.
Bridal Session on a separate day:
You know when you see those beautiful wedding photos on the top of a mountain? Or a couple running through some sand dunes? Or in the waves of the ocean? 80% of the time that was NOT their wedding day! It's a bridal session! We bring a bottle of champagne, pick a dope ass spot and make some magic! This all occurs without the hassle of having to stick to a schedule or listen to a million people calling your name.
Misconceptions about the wedding day:
"omg but everyone is going to see my dress before the big day and it's going to ruin my wedding day!"
FALSE. Bridal sessions aren't even shared before the wedding day unless you give me permission to or unless you post them! Also- you've already shown all your friends your dress and your partner has DEFINITELY seen it hanging in the closet. If you don't want anyone seeing your dress, you don't have to wear your dress! Get a white dress!
"A bridal session will make my wedding photos less important."
FALSE. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING can replace your wedding day photos. The excitement on your faces is like nothing else and you can't possibly replace that feeling. A bridal session is just meant to accent your wedding photos, not replace them.
"I'm not even going to use the bridal session photos."
You can hang your bridal session photos at the wedding, use them as table numbers, make a book for your guest book and you can use them for your thank you cards!
Take a look at Demi & Vince's bridal session and see for yourself!
Sam and Sean had the most beautiful wedding at Handsome Hollow in Long Eddy, NY. The forecast for their wedding was rain, but all it did was sprinkle! The details were to die for and the venue was spectacular.
Sam had gotten ready in the house on the property and Sean got ready in the barn with his guys. The bathroom in the house is to DIE for. And so is the living room area! Check it out!
Sam and Sean had their first look on the wrap around porch at the house so we didn't have to drag her dress through the wet grass.
These two had the most beautiful photos during their ceremony with the low hanging clouds from the rain. They also still got married outdoors even though it was sprinkling. They're proof that you can't let a little rain ruin your day!
After the ceremony we took bridal party photos in front of the barn and then went around the property a little bit. Check out those clouds in the woods!
After all the photos were done it was time to PARTYYYYY. During the reception we headed outdoors to get some photos under the lights and in the photo booth...of course! As usual the vendors are at the bottom of the page!
Kelly and Nick had their beautiful wedding at Crabtree Kittle House. These two lovebirds have been together since college and have never left each other's side. Their details were to die for, the florals were extravagant, and the ceremony was beautiful. It's not often that I cry during ceremonies...but I BALLED during these love bird's wedding. As Kelly walked down the aisle I looked over at Nick who was so happy he was crying and I just lost it. So so so sweet.
Kelly got ready in one of the rooms of the Kittle House. Since their dog couldn't attend...Nick made a cardboard cutout of the dog HAHAHAHA. Weak over here, you guys. I was hysterical laughing at it all day.
Kelly and Nick had an absolutely beautiful ceremony under this beautiful floral arch. All the colors accented the girl's dresses so well.
Following the ceremony we ran off to do some bridal portraits around the venue.
After bridal portraits, we took both family and bridal party shots under their beautiful arch.
After all the formal portraits....it was time to PARTY!! As usual all the vendors are at the bottom!

These two sweethearts are getting married this weekend! We did their engagement session in Purchase, NY at the Pepsi-Cola Gardens. We were so lucky and got to frolic around the cherry blossom trees and were hardly interrupted by anyone! I hope you enjoy scrolling through the photos!
Jenifer & Spencer visited from Oregon! They were willing to take photos at sunrise which made for a nearly empty Brooklyn Bridge which was amazing. They were so much fun to walk around and talk with! By the end of the shoot I had new friends and some dope ass photos of them. We visited the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo, and The Brooklyn Bridge Park. Check it out!
Kim and Edwin chose to do their engagement session at Stonecrop Gardens. We had so much fun running around and taking pictures in the gardens and greenhouses. From detail shots on succulents to dance sessions in gardens we did it all. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I loved taking them!
