Jay and Melly flew me out to New Mexico for their adventure session at White Sands National Monument and Aguirre Springs. These two were such good champs as we braved the super hot desert. We got to watch the most beautiful sunset and Jay and Melly danced and played around in the sand. Take a look at these two babes!
Ilaria and Justin had their bridal session at Windham Mountain the morning after their wedding. These two brave souls fought through the hangover and hit the slopes….IN THEIR WEDDING ATTIRE. I mean how more epic could you get? I know for a fact that I would break an arm skiing in winter clothes so I can’t even imagine the skill level it took to run the slopes in your wedding attire without falling even once. I. Am. Speechless. Happy Scrolling!
Kathy & Tyson had their couple’s session at the beautiful Koko Crater Botanical Gardens. It’s amazing how although the botanical gardens were located in Oahu so much of it looked like other parts of The United States such as Arizona. I highly recommend visiting this botanical garden if you visit Oahu!
Today I’m throwing it back to this oldie, but goodie! Tiffany and Garret had their session at sunrise at the Brooklyn Bridge and surrounding Dumbo areas. These two cuties are from Utah and they were living in New York City for an internship! I’m so glad I got to meet these two and get to know them a little bit during their session in the big apple!
I got to meet Cecilia and Scott on my trip to Oahu! We did a sunrise session at Lanai Lookout and it was a sunrise to be remembered. The water was so blue it looked fake and the greens of Oahu looked like Ireland or Scotland. The rock formations at Lanai are so unique and it was so much fun exploring this place with these two love birds! If you’re looking for a place to watch the sunrise in Oahu…Lanai is the place!
These two cutie pies are past wedding clients of mine! I reached out to them with an idea I had and I’m so happy they were game! It’s so important to make sure that you also create for yourself when you are an artist of any kind and I’m so glad I did! They look absolutely fiiiiiiiiiine. Am I right? The water was only slightly freezing but I was only in up to my knees so who am I to judge?
GET READY FOR THIS ONE. This girl right here is my travel partner. The funniest part is we only live two hours away from each other but we only hang out in other parts of the country like Colorado and Hawaii..😂Sara, Jeff and I spent the first half of our Colorado trip together. About 500 times Sara was talking about her proposal and how she didn’t know when it was going to happen. Little did Sara know Kev had reached out to me about two weeks prior and told me he was going to propose. I was so pumped when he told me and I knew the perfect place for it. It was SO HARD keeping my mouth shut. Every single night we went to bed Jeff and I would hysterical laugh because she had no idea what was coming. During our last little photo outing Sara had whispered in Jeff’s ear a prompt. Once it was my turn I whispered in Kev’s ear a prompt but little did Sara know she was about to get proposed to. It was magical…I cried like a lunatic. We got the the top of the mountain and I saw the mountain goats I had been waiting for AND TWO MOOSE right after! SUCH a magical day! NOT TO MENTION during the shoot we were up so high that the clouds were passing by us the whole time. It was so perfect.❤️️
Vanessa and Brian had responded to my model call I had posted for Oahu. We did a sunrise session on the beautiful Kailua Beach and I got to shoot alongside my good friend, Sara. Vanessa and Brian brought along their beautiful baby girl and she even popped into a few of the photos. These love birds had a partial rainbow come out to greet them during their session as well! I love getting to meet new couples all around the world and I’m so happy I got to meet these two and that they braved the cold water at 7am for me! I hope you enjoy scrolling as much as I enjoyed shooting! Happy Scrolling!
Taylor and I found each other on Instagram! When I announced that I was going to Oahu she reached out to book a session and I’m so glad she did! When we got together I found out she is also from New York - such a small world! We started our day at the Botanical Gardens and then headed to Kailua Beach Park for sunset! Happy scrolling!
The great part about my job is at each wedding I’m not just getting to know the couple, but I also get to know the bridal party and family! So when I photographed Emily & Fritz’s wedding and found out that Meghan lives in Oahu we OBVIOUSLY had to get together for a photoshoot! We started out in the awesome rainforest as we hiked to Manoa Falls which although was really tall it kind of looked like a drip more than a waterfall. 😂If you know me at all I’m only saying that because I’m bitter about how many stairs it took to get there. However we got to frolic around in the bamboo which was the coolest thing ever. And then Meghan swung on a vine to unleash her inner George of the Jungle which was also both entertaining and awesome. The amount of mosquito bites I got was most definitely not fun but so worth it for these photos of these two hotties. 🔥We finished off the shoot at the beach for sunset where I let James get revenge for having to get his photo taken by soaking Meghan and flinging her around the beach. 😂
I got to photograph Claire & Kyle right before attending The Heart Workshop this December. Claire is an adorable and talented photographer based in Canada and when we connected about going to the workshop we knew we had to do a shoot together. These two are steamy as all get up. During their stay in Oahu before the workshop they rented this adorable hippie van and lived the van life for a few days! We started our session on the beach at Waimea Bay and then went across the street to Waimea Valley and took some photos there. Claire fed the chickens even though we told her not to but at least she got some pictures with chickens! We played around in the freaking RAINFOREST (ndb.) and got to create this MAGIC. Happy scrolling! Good luck keeping your jaw off the floor. 😉
Jenifer & Spencer visited from Oregon! They were willing to take photos at sunrise which made for a nearly empty Brooklyn Bridge which was amazing. They were so much fun to walk around and talk with! By the end of the shoot I had new friends and some dope ass photos of them. We visited the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo, and The Brooklyn Bridge Park. Check it out!
I have had the pleasure of photographing these two several times! I photographed both their engagement and elopement in New York. Ben was transferred to El Paso so when I found out I was heading that way I knew I HAD to message them to see if they were down to come to this magical place. We took some sunset shots and I love that they knew they didn't even have to ask if they could bring their dogs because they know I'm obsessed with animals. Jeff got to hold onto the pups and love them during the shoot and I got to frolic around with one of my favorite couples! Fun fact: The same white dress Alex wore in the second half of the shoot is the same dress she eloped in a few years prior!!
This is the last of the 2017 blog posts!!! I'm officially ALMOST caught up!! These two love birds came to me for their holiday photos and I'm so glad they did! Their outfits were on point, the weather wasn't too horrible and they got such beautiful photos!! I recommend Minnewaska to a lot of my couples! It's a super easy 1 mile walk to the falls and then you drive up to the top of the mountain for the lake photos! You get all the adventure photos without having to risk ruining your hair and makeup with strenuous activity. I hope you enjoy flipping through this session!
